Levada de Balcoes
This Levada de Balcoes is one easy and short levada walk. The distance is only 1.5 km one-way and the route is very pleasant, through a cool forest area and the road is flat. Along the way there are many small birds that are not too afraid of humans, even perching on your hands if you feed them. The highlight of this levada walk is the viewpoint at the end of the path which is shaped like a balcony with a 180 degree view of the hills that are layered.
